On this Memorial Day Weekend, A BIG SALUTE to all our fallen HEROES for preserving our FREEDOMS through the ultimate sacrifice.

Chase Huna opened up the event with the National Anthem. Then the seven-teen year old high school senior provided an opening show warm -up for The 29th Annual

KSBR Birthday Bash held this year at a new venue  The Grove in Anahiem which had a packed house as Smooth Jazz Lovers were entertained indoors.

Greg Adams

Chatting with early arrivals like Grammy and Emmy Nominated Trumpeter, Arranger Greg Adams,  who mentioned that he is going into the studio to produce two new CDs. One a Christmas CD, as he is always being asked after his live renditions of Christmas songs can they be purchased. He jokingly laughed, I havent made a Christmas CD, so I will have one soon.  The other CD will be with his group East Bay Soul. You can be apart of either CD as Greg has a new Kickstarter Campaign for "Sweet Soul Christmas"  and "Soul Citizen" which just launched May 22nd.

Having a brief moment with
Jim Rondeau, General Manager Director of Broadcasting at KSBR 88 5FM he discussed  why the change of venue as a lot of people loved the outdoor festive location in Mission Viejo, CA. As the change was due to unforeseen changes where it was a decision to either move location or not have the event at all this year.  Over the years the festival has move 5 times, so it will take a little getting use to for some, but those who attending today like Liz and Belinda, they had a great time.

Behind the scene Jim credited one person who worked her magic, KSBR Music Director Vienna Yip provided an excellent line up  "without her this would not have happen in getting all these talented artists."
