Bobby Caldwell "After Dark"

Record Label: Starmine Records

"After Dark" by Bobby Caldwell is here! He has out done himself with this Big Band, Jazz, CD that pays tribute to Old Blue Eyes who is surely smiling with this magnificent tribute.

Bobby opens with "Follow Me," and immediately you are transformed to another time and place...the Ballroom. His voice glides across the notes, the horns making you sway to the beat of the soft background percussion. Then comes "I Only Have Eyes For You" which steps up the beat. Yes, I can feel the two step and fox trot coming on.

One after another Sinatra favorites, a few not so well known... all leading up to the incredible rendition of Bobby's 1979 masterpiece "What You Won't Do For Love." Starts out with a Samba that has you feeling tropical, the horns ease you into Bobby's luscious vocal journey of the song. It is a treat that I have played over and over... beautiful, strong, soft, Romantic and shows how Bobby has matured vocally since the original. Not to mention become one of the Worlds favorite Artist, Songwriter and Performer.

"After Dark" finishes with "My Kind Of Town," what an appropriate finale! I strongly recommend "After Dark!"

Thank you Bobby Caldwell for your new rendition of "What You Won't Do For Love."
