A romantic evening of beautiful music under the stars
The weather was perfect for a romantic evening of beautiful music under the stars at Chastain Park Amphitheatre in Atlanta, GA.  The skies were clear with comfortable temperatures and a cool breeze.  Avery Sunshine and Kelly Price were the opening acts.  Avery Sunshine was a last minute addition who was well received by the audience.  With her amazing voice and bubbly personality, she interacted well with the crowd and had them up on their feet singing along, clapping, laughing and cheering.  As did Kelly Price who ran through a reminiscent set of some of her most popular hits of the 90’s.
After a brief intermission, Kem took to the stage for the main performance of the evening to the delight of all the ladies who welcomed him with screams, cheers and rousing applause.  His smooth voice and commanding stage presence captivated the crowd late into the evening as he sang song after song from all three of his albums including “When Love Calls,” “I Can't Stop Loving You,” and “Share My Life.”  He further impressed fans with his piano skills on a couple of songs including “Why Would You Stay.”
The singer, songwriter and producer has been outspoken about his struggles early on in life.  Alcohol and drug problems eventually led to him being homeless.  His love of music helped get him through the darkest of times.  He tries to incorporate a positive, spiritual message into every show and include personal comments on life lessons he’s learned along the way.  He says having been through some things, having overcome and achieved success puts him in a position to help others who may be going through something.  His words uplifted the crowd as he talked about life, hope, perseverance, love and the importance of one’s relationship with God and with each other, sharing with fans not only music but food for the mind and soul as well.
Kem ended the evening with a photograph session for fans who wanted to have their picture taken with him.  Quite a large crowd of people stayed after the show to meet Kem and get autographs and pictures.
Not only did Kem put on an amazing show, displaying his full range of talent as a singer, musician and stage performer, he also showed himself to be a humble man, very down to earth, possessing a heart filled with love and gratitude for his fans and for his many blessings in life.  It’s always a treat to see a performer who sounds as good live as on the album.  The band and back
up singers were amazing as well as the venue, sound and lighting.  It was definitely an evening to remember.
