Although he may not be a household name yet, Elan Trotman's new project, "Love and Sax", will give you a smooth groove to what he is all about. "Love and Sax", Trotman's second contemporary jazz album, was released on March 8, 2011.
Although still a young artist, Trotman exhibits a maturity way beyond his age. His skills as a composer have been carefully honed and matured. The first song on this new CD is the title track. The expressive and passionate melody sets the groove for the rest of his cuts, a collection that further shows off his penchant for composing smooth - listening music. This album would be a fine addition to a sensual and romantic evening of candlelit dining.
I have done a lot of listening for "Love and Sax" this week, and I find that it's being played often on contemporary radio stations - its been dubed the #1 most added single on the Billboard and Groove Jazz Music charts.
Elan Trotman is one of our young saxophonists who has the potential to be right up there with some of the greats, and this album is definitely worthy of your attention.
